Hazel M. Holmgren, 96, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at The Towne House Retirement Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Hazel worked as a Deaf Education Teacher for Ohio Public Schools for 10 years, retiring in 1977. She was a Volunteer Director of Dayton Literacy Center, and a member of Ronald McDonald House, Lutheran Women's Groups, and the Wittenberg University Board.
